Sirohi in Rajasthan is one of India’s cleanest cities. Sirohi was first founded as Shivpuri on the slopes of Siranwa hill in 1405 by Rao Sobhaji. In later years his son Sainsmal built a fortress to protect the city. Slowly the city grew into what is now known as Sirohi.
The district of Sirohi is historically significant and has many places of tourist and religious interest including Ajari Temple, Ambeshwar, Chandravati and Jiraval temple. Mandiron ki Galli is a unique street with 18 jain temples in a line. Exploring the area around Sirohi is like a trip into the past.
